Valentine’s Day Picnic with Cravings Delicatessen

It’s that time of the year again when love is in the air and there are few things more romantic than a picnic in Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, which is renowned for its beautiful beaches and breath-taking scenery.

When it comes to planning the perfect Valentine’s Day picnic, it can be a daunting and often time consuming task. This inspired Michelle and Mel Uria, owners of Cravings Delicatessen - a quaint health food deli in the vibrant neighbourhood of Sea Point – to provide Capetonians with a healthy and convenient picnic service. On this special day, all picnic basket orders will receive a discount of 20%.

“Cape Town’s spectacular sunsets provide an ideal intimate setting, with the addition of a basket stocked with great food, a picnic blanket, scented candles and the optional bottle of wine you can enjoy a Valentine’s Day that is both romantic and affordable,” says Michelle.

With the Cravings picnic package, customers can call in from 7am to pre-order from the menu which includes a wide selection of freshly made fruit and veggie  juices, tasty smoothies, ice-teas, iced-coffees, fruits, salads, sandwiches, wraps and other deli fare. The food gets packed into a Cravings cooler bag filled with ice and can be collected at the store from any time between 7:30am and 5:30pm.

“No romantic outing should be spoiled by the hassle of having to stand in stores in long queues, packing and organising. Our goal is always to provide everyone with quality food and a hassle-free picnic experience.”
