Col’cacchio – Canal Walk Restaurant
A true passion for Italian food is what makes Col’Cacchio the place to go for the best in Italian dining.

Since the first store opened way back in 1992, the Col’Cacchio name has become synonymous with an incredible range of superbly crisp thin based pizzas and an impressive variety of freshly prepared salads and pastas. It’s no surprise therefore that the group has steadily expanded over the years, as it has grown in popularity as well as creativity
Col'Cacchio Pizzeria is special in as much as our large selection of health or vegetarian pizzas are endorsed by the Heart Foundation of South Africa. All sauces are freshly prepared and Col’Cacchio endeavour to procure organic ingredients wherever viable. In addition to the extensive menu Col’Cacchio offers wheat-free tagliatelle and wheat and gluten free pizza bases for those that have a wheat intolerance.
The pizza combinations are endless with an astounding 50 standard combinations (each with its unique Italian name) to choose from. In addition there is a comprehensive list of ingredients to create your own pizza if none of the standard 50 combinations appeal to your taste buds. The more exotic combinations include the Tre Colori with smoked salmon, sour cream and caviar, and the Fantasia with caramelized onion, Brie, and sesame seeds.
For the health conscious and vegetarians, the salad selection offers 20 enticing, colourful combinations, and it is difficult to single out just one particular salad as they are all equally appetising! However, a couple of recommendations are the Barbitola with rocket, beetroot, mozzarella, avocado, rosso onions and sunflower seeds, and the Scampi with prawns, pineapple, lettuce, sesame seeds, avocado, cucumber, bean sprouts and oriental dressing.
Pasta lovers will enjoy the more unusual Fresca with roasted vegetables, rocket, sundried tomato, ricotta and pinenuts, or the Lamb Tortellini with osso buco sauce, red pepper and bacon.

Service and quality of your food
My husband and I visited your restaurant on
Saturday evening. The restaurant was quite empty and now we understand why. Die food was disgusting and the service very bad. I had Spaghetti Bolognaise and my husband meat balls with spagetti. My bolognaise was dry and tasteless and so was the meat balls. The wine was definitely not what he ordered, it was from a box and the waiter could have been someone from the street helping out. It was very unpleasant and we will NOT be back! A waste of money abd time!
