FoodBlog – Cape Town Restaurants: Haiku
Haiku is located on Burg Street and offers an extensive menu of Asian tapas. You will experience a journey through East Asia in a stylish and modern restaurant venue. Dishes are supposed to be shared. The team of chefs from key provinces in China, Japan and Thailand explain the incredible diversity of the Haiku menu. You will find many culinary delights. It is guaranteed that you will come back here for more! Haiku is very very very addictive...
They’ve got an open kitchen, so that guests can watch the chefs in action while waiting for their dishes. It was voted as South Africa’s Top Ten Restaurants by EatOut and also previously acknowledged as best new restaurant in SA by Conde Nast Trveler and EatOut.
Do they deserve these awards? I don’t really care. It’s Asian cuisine and it’s tapas – what’s not to love! Average cost per person is R170...I see how that could be a problem. That’s why I rather go to Asoka.
