FoodBlog – Cape Town Restaurants: Rhodes Memorial Restaurant
Rhodes Memorial Restaurant is located in the stunning Table Mountain National Park by the historic Rhodes Memorial. From the restaurant, you have an amazing view over the northern and eastern suburbs of Cape Town and the Hottentots Holland mountains.
The restaurant has been owned by the same owners (Carrie & Roy) for the past years. So you can expect consistency – and quality! They provide for tourists and locals and offer a cuisine that matches all tastes. Each dish is prepared from the freshest ingredients and all dishes are made to order. They’ve also got a special board which changes daily with some of South Africa’s most traditional dishes. Prices are also reasonable.
There is a lot of free parking available on the premise but it is important to make a reservation as the restaurant is very popular among locals and tourists.
I have been here on several occasions, but only ever for their breakfast menu. And I have never been disappointed. They’ve got the best English Breakfast EVER!!! If their lunch dishes are of the same quality, Rhodes Memorial Restaurant truly is a remarkable restaurant. They are open from 9 am to 5 pm, 7 days a week. Go check it out!
I also hear that Rhodes Memorial Restaurant prepare their own cakes that are out of this world!
