FoodBlog – Cape Town Restaurants: Jewel of India – Waterfront
India is a fascinating country – already known for its hospitality and cultural heritage. Their most impressive culinary delights have now been “imported” by Jewel of India. They are located at the V&A Waterfont. The prices are reasonable and the setting is fabulous.
It is one of the most respectable Indian restaurants in South Africa – having already won numerous awards. They have served several international celebrities, delegates and leaders. The Pakistani and Indian cricket team often come to Jewel of India as well during their tours of South Africa.
The restaurant is most famous for the Kadhai Prawns or the Paneer Makhani. As a dessert order a traditional Indian dish: Gulab Jamun – hot pudding served with sugar syrup.
